March is packed with many important recognition days like Women's History Month and Music in Our School's Month, but it's also Youth Art Month (YAM), which encompasses encouraging support for quality school art programs while promoting the curriculum in our classrooms that help teach problem-solving, creativity, observation, and communication through art.
Last Thursday evening, students showed their work at the Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center. This display will be up until April 1. YAM Blue Ribbon winners will be showing their work during the First Friday Art Trail at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts on March 1, 2024, from 4:30 - 6:00 pm and will be up until March 30.
