Throughout last week, the Lubbock HS Family Consumer Science classes took part in mock interviews to help prepare students for future hiring situations. Students could choose between an assistant designer, a head of a Montessori school, a public education teacher, or a psychiatrist at a research hospital. Students were assigned to research their chosen job, create a resume, and interview with a panel that consisted of community members, Lubbock ISD staff, and business professionals. These mock interviews allowed students to experience what a hiring process is like while also allowing them feedback on how to prepare for one in real life.
